A special meeting of Hadassah’s national board today “condemned and rejected” the Palestine land restrictions as “destroying both the letter and spirit of the Balfour Declaration and the mandate.” The resolution said the ordinance was “especially appalling at a time when the British people are engaged in a war against oppression and demagoguery in Europe.”
