Governor Herbert H. Lehman will address Hadassah’s New York chapter at a tea tomorrow afternoon in the Hotel Waldorf Astoria. The tea, which 1,500 women are expected to attend, will inaugurate the chapter’s activities this season in behalf of the Hadassah medical and health work in Palestine.
Mrs. Nathan D. Perlman will preside. Other scheduled speakers are Mrs. Edward Jacobs, newly elected national president; Rabbi Milton Steinberg of the Park Avenue Synagogue; Dr. Nathan Ratnoff, president of the American Jewish Physicians’ Committee; Dr. Ira I. Kaplan, director of the cancer division of the New York Department of Hospitals; and Mrs. David de Sola Pool, president of the chapter.
Drs. Ratnoff and Kaplan, who recently returned from Palestine, will describe their impressions of the country, with particular reference to development of scientific health work through Hadassah.
