Hadassah today announced its participation in the establishment by Youth Aliyah of a $250,000 Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Scholarship Foundation, The foundation will benefit wards of the international child rescue movement with special aptitudes to advance their education in Israel in the arts and sciences, as well as Youth Aliyah graduates unable, for lack of funds, to pursue their specialties. The first Hadassah grant, a music scholarship, will be awarded this year on October 11, the late Mrs, Roosevelt’s birthday.
