The New York chapter of Hadassah is promulgating a plan to mark Mother’s Day by purchasing trees to be planted in Palestine, it was announced yesterday by Mrs. De Sola Pool, president of the local Hadassah chapter.
All 300 chapters of Hadassah throughout the country are making a drive to popularize this way of marking the occasion, Mrs. Pool added. The trees will be planted in the Judaean hills at Kiryat Anavim, near Jerusalem, to complete the Hadassah Forest of 10,000 pines. Only 2,000 more trees are needed for the forest.
