Slightly over 50 percent of the Jews of Argentina are native-born, but only 57 percent of the entire Jewish community are citizens, Yedidic Efron, noted Zionist educator, reported today.
Writing in the Yiddishe Zeitung, Mr. Efron, who has conducted a population study among Argentine Jews for a number of years, declared that of 350,000 Jews in the country, 178,000 are native-born. Of those who are immigrants only 24,500 have been naturalized.
