The Haifa municipality has prepared a public works program designed to combat unemployment, it was announced today.
The program is expected to cost nearly $8,400,000, a part of which will be raised through loans from the national government. Among the projects are: modernization and enlargement of the municipal water system; completion of the Rothschild Hospital, and an addition to the sewerage system.
