A fund for the employment of three German Jewish educators who were exiled from their homeland by the Nazis, has been granted by the Central Bristish Fund for German Jewry and the United Jewish Communities of Italy to the Haifa Techion, a trade school.
The three appointees to the Institute staff include Professor Edwin Shabrin, formerly of the Berlin-Charlottenburg Polytechnikum, instructor in Technical Mechanics and Mathematics; Professor Dr. Max Kurrein, of the Berlin Polytechnikum, instructor in technology, and Dr. Haber-Shaim, construction expect, who will head a laboratory for research in building materials.
