The Hebrew Institute of Technology today announced the expansion of its academic staff and Invited applications for vacancies for 16 professorships and a large number of posts for lecturers and instructors.
The need for additional faculty members reflects both the increase in the number of students at the Technion, as well as the plans for expansion of the Technion at its new site on Mount Carmel. Two new departments which the Technion will open in the near future, aeronautical engineering and agricultural engineering, both contain openings, but there are vacancies in other faculties and departments as well, including hydraulics, architecture, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry and other areas of study.
