Officials of the Haifa Technical Institute, which has been closed for the past two weeks, today re-opened the school, after an appeal by the Ministry of Education.
The Technion was closed down when its students rejected a rise in tuition fees. The increase, which had been approved by the Ministry of Education, was necessary to meet the school’s operating costs, according to the officials.
