The end of world Jewry’s connection with Palestine is hailed as the inevitable result of the White Paper in an editorial in the Falastin, leading Arab paper, today.
“The resignations of Weizmann and Warburg as heads of the Zionist organization and of the Jewish Agency spell the logical dissolution of those organizations,” says the Falastin. “Since the British policy from now on concerns only the Jews in Palestine, the Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency are no longer necessary. This means an end to the link that connected the Palestine Jews to world Jewry.
“Great Britain will welcome this end. The bond with the Jews caused England only unpleasantness,” says the Arab paper. “Let the Jews realize that their further activity in Palestine will only injure the Palestine Jews.”
