Haim Ariav, General Zionist leader and Deputy Speaker of the Israel Parliament, died here today. He was 62.
Born in Poland, Mr. Ariav settled in Palestine in 1912 and served in the Turkish Army in World War I. Later he served with the World Zionist executive and the Jewish Agency He was a founder of the daily newspaper Haboker and of the Farmers Loan Bark of Israel He also served on educational and farm groups, including service as general director of the Israel Farmers Federation.
