Haim Zadok, Minister of Justice and Religion, “regretfully confirmed” Tuesday in the Knesset a report from Safed that mailmen there had refused to deliver printed material dispatched by missionary organizations because their local rabbi ruled it was a sin. Zadok said the rabbi had been elected by due process and there was nothing that he as Minister could do to overrule his ruling or take other action against him.
