Following warnings by the police that stern measures would be resorted to if the proposed Hakenkreuzler military maneuvers were held, leaders of that organization announced that the demonstration had been cancelled.
The martial exercises of the anti-Semitic organization were intended as a threat against the Jews.
The Hakenkreuzler are continuing the publication in their newspapers of blacklists of Jewish business houses, while leading Jews condemn the government for its alleged mildness towards the anti-Semites, particularly demanding that the Vienna Chamber of Commerce come out outspokenly against the economic boycott. The Jews further charge that Dr. Conrad, the secretary of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, is himself a member of the Hakenkreuzler organization.
