10,000 Jews assembled yesterday at the Vienna-Warsaw railway station to greet the members of the Jewish Viennese sport society Ha’Koach, who came here to engage in a watch with the Jewish sport organization, Maccabee, and the Polish students sport organization, Polonia.
A number of Jewish deputies were present. Speeches were made in Polish and in Hebrew, and those who had come to welcome the arrivals, headed by the Ha’Koach members, formed a parade, which marched through the principal streets, bearing the Jewish national flag. Perfect order was maintained in spite of the huge crowds.
A Jewish lawyer from Johannesburg. Mr. Kupper, who is now visiting Warsaw, invited the Ha’Koach for a two months tour of South Africa. The invitation was accepted.
