Jewish students at the University of Wisconsin are 20 percent more conscious of their Judaism than Jews in the outside world, Dr. Evelyn Garfield, preceptor at the University Hillel Foundation, told mothers of Jewish students here.
While only 30 percent of Jews in America are affiliated with Jewish organizations of any kind, 50 percent of University of Wisconsin students belong to the Hillel Foundation, Dr. Garfield declared.
