Hamas and Islamic Jihad are competing for bragging rights over last Friday’s attack in Hebron that killed 12 Israelis. Islamic Jihad issued a leaflet this week saying its members had no assistance from any other group and expressing surprise that Hamas decided, three days after the incident, to issue its own statement, Israel Radio reported.
