Hamas wants to form a Palestinian army. “We are willing to form an army like every country,” the Islamic terrorist group’s leader in exile, Khaled Meshaal, told reporters Saturday. Meshaal, who has called for the Jewish state’s destruction, said the army’s function would be defensive.
A final count of last week’s Palestinian Authority election gave Hamas 56 percent of seats in Parliament. The Islamic terrorist group took 74 of the Palestinian Legislative Council’s 132 seats, while the long-dominant Fatah faction won 45, according to final results issued over the weekend.
