A Jewish cemetery at Hamburg was invaded last night by unknown vandals who broke and overturned tombstones. Municipal authorities suspect neighborhood children who, they say, attempted to pilfer coal from a railroad siding nearby, but this seems unlikely in view of the size and weight of the tombstones which were overturned.
The surviving Jews in Hamburg are outraged by the incident pointing out that the cemetery was only recently restored after its desecration by the Nazis.
