A new controversy about anti-Semitism in West Germany developed today when the Ministry of the interior ordered the confiscation of “Der-Stern,” a Hamburg illustrated magazine.

The action was ordered because the current issue contained an article charging that the West German Office for The Protection of the Constitution has become “a facade” behind which former Nazis are re-established in official positions.

Count Meinhardt Nayhauss, author of the article, asserted that a “clique of former SS men, who organized the Nazi terror and anti-Semitic outrages,” has been quietly reinstated, and that they were building “their own network” throughout West Germany.
