United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold said today that a solution to the Middle East situation is “perfectly possible” with the assistance of the UN. He made the statement in a television interview.
Settlement “must be a question of the development of policy in a spirit of great fairness and great understanding of the various groups in the region,” Mr. Hammarskjold declared. I think personally that it is perfectly possible to find a solution with full regard to these various aspirations.”
