A handshake yesterday ended a war "declared" against Britain ten years ago by the Irgun Zvai Leumi, according to a report to the Daily Express here.
D. Woodward, British legation press officer, walked into the Tel Aviv offices of the morning newspaper Freedom, which has expressed the Irgun viewpoint, and performed the handshake ritual. "A year ago such a call would have been suicidal," the Express points out in its report.
