Wolf Moishe Berman came into the Harbin, Manchukuo, office of the HIAS-ICA in a troubled state. Since 1915 he had not heard from his brothers and uncles in America and he wanted to find them. All he knew was that they lived somewhere in New York or Brooklyn.
Harbin communicated with the HIAS in New York, which investigated. As a result, Aryeh Berman, 2012 Dean Street, Brooklyn, is today reunited with his brother. Aryeh had though his brother killed in the World War.
