Israel’s Ambassador Avraham Harman held a lengthy conference here this weekend with Under Secretary of State W. Averell Harriman, discussing the various aspects of the recent Syrian aggressions against Israel, about which Israel has complained to the United Nations Security Council. Mr. Harman said after the meeting that he had reviewed for Mr. Harriman the “chain of circumstances” that led to the present Syrian-Israeli situation, expressing to the American official Israel’s hope that the Council will take action to “correct” the situation.
