Private funeral services were held here Friday for Harold Light, former president of the Union of Councils of Soviet Jewry, who died in Washington Wednesday while attending a conference of the Union of Councils. He was 58. Born in Philadelphia, he came to San Francisco in 1941. In 1967 he sold his business to devote his full time to the cause of Soviet Jewry. He was a founder and chairman of the Bay area Council on Soviet Jewry.
