Harvard College Library Presented with 3,000 Rare Books and Manuscripts of Hebraica

The Harvard College library has been given a valuable collection of Hebrew history and literature consisting of 3,000 manuscripts and books from the library of the Amsterdam collector, Felix Friedmann. The purchase was made possible by a group of Harvard Alumni interested in Hebraica. The collection includes an early manuscript treatise by Maimonides and books printed before the 15th century as well as selected volumes of history and literature from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.
