Harvard Medical School Accords $200,000 Bequest Which Stipulates Racial Discrimination

A $200,000 bequest to establish a scholarship fund ” preferably for applicants of Anglo-Saxon ancestry” was accepted by the Harvard Medical School, it was reported here today.

The acceptance of the bequest was protested by Walter C. Carrington, president of the university’s Society for Minority Rights. ” Acceptance of this new fund will contribute to racial discrimination at Harvard, “Mr. Carrington charged.
