A three-day conference of the National Council of Hashomer Hatzair, Zionist youth movement, concluded here yesterday with adoption of a resolution criticizing the Bermuda Conference on Refugees as “a political tactic to divert public opinion aroused by the tragic plight of European Jewry,” and calling for the opening of Palestine to Jewish refugee immigration. Delegates from communities throughout the United States and Canada participated in the conference.
Another resolution called upon Jews and non-Jews alike and especially the American Emergecy Committee for Zionist Affairs “to arouse public opinion to vigorous protest against the inadequate measures for refugee problems made by the United Nations and against the British White Paper policy for Palestine.”
