The match between the Viennese sport (Jewish) society, “Hakoah” and the Polonia, the Polish sport society, which resulted in a victory for the Jewish organization, after the rain had caused the game to be discontinued when only half finished, has prompted several Polish papers to start a propaganda against the Jews.
The papers urge the Polish sport society not to arrange for any further matches with the Jewish “Hakoah.” They even urge the owners of sport grounds not to rent them for that purpose.
The “Dwa Grosze” states that the match between the Hakoah and the Polish sport society dishonors Polish sports because the Hakoah is arrogant and tactless. The paper threatens with the wrath of the people if the match scheduled for next Wednesday is not called off.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency is informed that the Polish sport societies have decided not to be intimidated by the threats of the anti-Semitic papers, and final arrangements for the Wednesday match are being concluded. The police are taking special percautions for the preserving of order.
