Rabbi Wolf Gold, member of the Jewish Agency executive in Jerusalem who arrived here last week to participate in plenary sessions of the executive, declared at a testimonial dinner arranged in his honor last night by the Mizrachi Organization of America that “the Jewish people will make Jerusalem a ## facto Jewish city” and that “it will not be very long before the Holy City again because the capital of the state of Israel.”
Leon Gellman, president of Mizrachi. and a member of the American section of the Jewish Agency executive, announced that the United Religious Bloc in Israel–forced to unite all Orthodox elements in the Jewish state in the recent Israeli national elections–would remain a permanent group “to implement the great ethical and spiritual values within the living framework of the new state.”
