Having “conquered New York and Pennsylvania,” as he expressed it, Dr. Arthur J. Kraus, discharged from the College of the City of New York after a hunger strike in protest against persecution of Jews in Polish universities, yesterday left New York to “invade Illinois” in what he calls his “Dreyfus-like fight for vindication.”
APPEAL TO GOV. PINCHOT
“In New York,” continued Dr. Kraus, “I met Mrs. Pinchot, who assured me of her deep interest in my case.”
In Chicago, which will be his first Illinois “camp,” Dr. Kraus will interview several important personages and request their backing in his fight against deportation from the United States and for public hearings on his dismissal from City College.
