“Promising possibilities can exist for increased economic relations between Canada and Israel,” E. R. Ernst, who headed a Canadian Government trade mission which has just returned from a survey of the economic situation in Israel, declared here last night.
Addressing the Canada-Israel Chamber of Commerce, here, Mr. Ernst declared his mission bed found Israel has made astonishing progress despite tremendous economic, social and political problems. Mr. Ernst, chosen by the Government to head this country’s mission, is assistant general manager of the Bank of Montreal.
