The treatment of the Jews in Germany under the Hitler regime is “most outrageous,” President L. L. Doggett of Springfield Y. M. C. A. College stated in an interview on his recent return from a European trip which included a visit to Germany. Dr. Doggett told of being sold a publication by a Hitler trooper which contained articles denouncing the Jews. There was also what he characterized as a “disgraceful cartoon” picturing the Jewish employer as a rascal trying to impose on a German boy who was looking for a job. Under the sketch was the statement that “Jews are Germany’s misfortune.”
