It is rumored here that as a result of the police reorganization plan being drafted by Inspector-General Dowbiggin the municipal police will be abolished and general police stations established everywhere in their place with a large British personnel. If the report is true it will particularly affect the police stations of Tel Aviv and the colonies Such a plan would deprive the Tel Aviv police of their special uniforms and higher salaries paid by the Tel Aviv municipality. The present Tel Aviv police force consists of 20 British patrolmen in addition to local patrolmen commanded by a British inspector.
