Heavy rain and snow that fell last week in northern and central Israel raised the level of the Sea of Galilee by more than 6 inches. According to the Jerusalem Post, rising waters in the Jordan River and its tributaries, as well as from streams leading down from the Galilee and the Golan, are expected to give a further boost to the still-depleted waters of the sea.
