Hebrew Committee for National Liberation Denies Split with Irgun Zvai Leumi

There is a complete identity of purpose between ## Irgun Zvai Leumi and the Hebrew Committee of National Liberation Samuel Merlin, secretary-general of the HCNL, declared today in a statement denying reports that serious divergencies of opinion have developed between the two groups.

“Although the Hebrew Committee of National Liberation is not responsible for the policy of the Irgun’s war operations, and though the Command of the Irgun bears to whole responsibility for them, we wish to deny emphatically any and all allegation about divergencies of opinion,” he said, adding that “the Hebrew Committee of additional Liberation, and the American movement supporting it, have not only boundless empiration for the valor of the Irgun but are also pledged to wholehearted support.”
