A “provisional Government for Palestine” will be established about the beginning of the year, it was announced here yesterday by Fowler Harper, former government official who has just been appointed legal adviser to the Hebrew Committee of National Liberation.
Harper said that a general assembly composed of 2,000 delegates from Palestine and others representing stateless European Jews will meet within a few weeks at a yet undecided place. This assembly will set up the provisional government.
