The illustrated Hebrew publication for children and youth, “Olam Hadash,” the only one of its kind in the United States, will present its first annual award to Ogden Reid, member of the U. S. House of Representatives and former U. S. Ambassador to Israel, in recognition of his deep interest in the Hebrew language and culture, it was announced today by Mr. Jacob Kinzler, president of the publication.
The presentation of the award will take place at a luncheon at the Essex House on April 4. Jacob Goodman, vice-president and treasurer of the publication, will be toastmaster at the luncheon. The “Olam Hadash” was founded in New York in September 1961 by Asher Wolk, journalist, and one of the present editors of the publication.
