Modern Hebrew as a language for matriculation examinations in Germany, has been abolished according to an announcement by the Minister of the Interior, Wilhelm F. Frick.
Up to the present students desiring to matriculate had to take two modern languages one of which could be Hebrew. The order also declares that Jewish pupils will no longer be permitted to matriculate if they prepared themselves in other than officially recognized schools.
