The Foster Home for Hebrew Orphans, which is now celebrating its Diamond Jubilee, the 75th anniversary of its existence, arranged a gala affair last Sunday in celebration of the occasion. Addresses were delivered by the three honorary presidents: Messrs. Leo Loeb, Clinton O. Mayer and Harry Nusbaum. A report for the year 1929 was rendered by Benjamin L. Rubinsohn, president, and the following officers were elected: president, Benjamin L. Rubinsohn; vice-president, Leo H. Heimerdinger; secretary, Isadore Kohn; treasurer, Morris Haber.
A special presentation was made of the newly elected superintendent, M. P. Ostrow, formerly Executive Director of the Eureka Benevolent Society of San Francisco. Mr. Ostrow is succeeding Aaron D. Faber.
