Hebrew will be introduced into the curriculum of Gaza Strip schools next fall and ten Arab teachers, all graduates of Cairo University’s School of Semitic Studies, will take special courses this summer to prepare them to teach the subject, it was announced today. The ten were selected by the Gaza Strip educational authorities from a list of about 100 Arab teachers who applied. The Hebrew courses were added at the request of many parents and local authorities.
