— The Hebrew University in Jerusalem will try three Arab students before a disciplinary court on suspicion of distributing anti-Zionist leaflets. The leaflets, distributed last week, included a call to Arab students to fight fascism and Zionism by means of acquiring more education.
The university is considering suspending two of the students until the court reaches a decision. According to the university, the students asked for permission to put a stand on the campus with informational material to assist high school students registering for next year’s studies.
According to the university, the students took advantage of the permission which was given to them reluctantly and distributed leaflets. Leaders of the Arab Students Committee could not be reached for comment.
