Jacob Blaustein, honorary president of the American Jewish Committee; Senator Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota; and Dr. David B. Allman, president-elect of the American Medical Association, were the recipients of honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion at graduation ceremonies here yesterday.
Mr. Blaustein, who was a member of the U.S. delegation to the United Nations General Assembly last year, is the recipient of a number of awards. Last year, the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters was conferred upon him by his alma mater, Lehigh University, for “unique service” to the United States and humanity.
