Dr. Julian Morgenstern, president of the Hebrew Union College of Cincinnati, delivered the address opening the fifty-third academic year of the school here before 115 students and friends of the institution.
This year’s enrollment is the largest in the history of the institution and the matriculating class of twenty-five is also the largest in the school’s existence.
The degree of Bachelor of Hebrew was awarded to four students: Maurice Goldblatt, of Springfield, Ill., Sol B. H. Applebaum, of Cleveland, O., Carl L. Miller, of Cleveland, O., and Mordecai Thurman, of Cincinnati.
Dr. Morgenstern announced that Dr. Walter Rothman, a member of the college’s graduating class of the 1923 had been added to the college faculty in the department of Jewish philosophy.
