Hebrew Union Opens Summer School

The Hebrew Union College opened its doors on Monday. July 8, with the formal beginning of its fifth summer school session. Twelve rabbis have registered for work in the Graduate School; eight students of the College remained to study during the summer, and 33 young women three from Canada and the others from all parts of the United States, have registered for courses in the Teachers’ Institute. The registration is not yet complete. A large number of summer students is expected.

Mrs. Carrie Fist, the Matron of the Dormitory, has prepared the East Wing of the building for the 19 girls whom this section of the Dormitory will accommodate.

The remainder of the Dormitory will house students, visiting rabbis, faculty members and their wives. The dining room tables have been especially arranged to seat groups of six.
