Zvi Levavy, president of the Morris J. Kaplun Foundation, announced a $30,000 annual grant of the Foundation to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The grant is being used by the university for the annual Morris J. Kaplun International Prizes which carry a monetary award of $5000 each.

This prize for distinguished publications and scholarship in the humanities, natural sciences and technology, social studies, Jewish studies and the promotion of world peace, was co-initiated by Levavy and Moshe A. Boris Kochubievsky, the Ukrainian Jew who conducted a successful four-year struggle to emigrate to Israel, will be on a three-week tour in the US from April 23 to May 14.
