The agricultural college at Rehovoth was today incorporated into the Hebrew University as its Agricultural Faculty at a ceremony attended by leading government and educational figures including Agriculture Minister Levi Eshkol and Prof. M. Schwabe, Rector of the University.
In an address at the ceremony, Minister Eshkol stressed the need for agronomists and agricultural instructors, revealing that three more agricultural schools will be opened shortly to prepare agricultural and soil experts. University Officials revealed that it is planned to double the 80 agronomists and agricultural specialists graduated annually by the Rehovoth school and to construct new laboratories and install new equipment costing some 200,000 pounds.
