The sheriff of Dutchess country this weekend been an investigation of race prejudice which led to the smashing of windows anti doors at a Hechalutz training farm near the town of Verbank. The vandals committed their acts while the students and instructors at the Hachshara center were watching movies.
The sheriff described the vandalism as “an outgrowth of racial prejudice,” revealing that he had received previous reports of’ “young people” mocking the trainees whenever they passed the camp. The sheriff-offered an award for the identification of the hoodlums.
