The works of Heinrich Heine were confiscated by authorities who were searching a privately owned Hamburg library today. It was declared that Heine’s works are “un-German.” The Nazi press in Bavaria declared that the folksong “Lorelei” will be prohibited in the future because the words were writen by Heine, who is said to have been “one of the meanest Jews Germany ever saw.”
