The world Mizrachi conference, which has been meeting here for the past week, concluded today, after re-electing Rabbi Meir Berlin president of the world organization.
The conference voted not to accept Dr. Judah L. Fishman’s resignation as the Mizrachi representative on the Jewish Agency executive and named Rabbi Wolf Gold to replace Dr. Aaron Bardt as its representative in the Agency’s political department. The delegates adopted a budget of $1,200,000 for the coming year and passed a resolution urging the Revisionists to rejoin the World Zionist Organization.
Leon Gellman, president of the American Mizrachi, who delivered the closing address, demanded that the orthodox Zionists start preparing immediately for the forthcoming elections to the World Zionist Congress and that they send representatives to Jewish communities throughout the world to inform them concerning the Mizrachi program. He also urged that a $4,000,000 loan be floated to finance Mizrachi’s projected activities.
