Henry Grossman, a representative of the World Jewish Congress at the United Nations, and previously a member of the United Nations staff for 14 years, died here suddenly this weekend. He was 64.
Mr. Grossman, who was born in Hungary, and had become a Czech citizen, worked in the Foreign Ministry of the Masaryk Government at Prague, and was an intimate of many of the ranking Czech leaders, When the Czechs set up their Government-in-Exile in London during World War II, he continued his work with that Government.
He came to New York in 1946, Joining the UN staff that year, and retiring in 1960. Since Joining the World Jewish Congress staff, he was extremely active and popular among the several hundred representatives of non-Governmental Organizations accredited to the UN as well as among diplomats and correspondents.
